If you want to become a Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher ® (RCYT) through Yoga Alliance, you must complete an approved 95-hour Children’s Yoga Teacher Training. The Children’s Yoga Certification previously offered through My Vinyasa Practice is now provided through a partnership with Yoga Specialists.
Yoga Specialists offers a comprehensive, trauma-informed Children’s Yoga Teacher Training designed for yoga teachers ready to support young learners with safe, engaging, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate yoga.
| NOTE: The 95-hour Children’s Yoga Certification does not by itself qualify you to register with Yoga Alliance. It allows you to upgrade your existing 200-hour or 500-hour Yoga Alliance designation to include Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher status. |

Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
The 95-hour Children’s Yoga Certification from Yoga Specialists does not, by itself, qualify you to register with Yoga Alliance.
In order to register with Yoga Alliance as a Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher (RCYT), you must already hold an active 200-hour or 500-hour Yoga Alliance designation. Once you complete the 95-hour Children’s Yoga Certification, you may upgrade your existing Yoga Alliance registration to include the RCYT credential. This course is an add-on designation pathway, not a stand-alone registration pathway.
Yoga Alliance Accreditations
Yoga Specialists is a Registered Children’s Yoga School (RCYS) with Yoga Alliance. Upon completing this course, you’ll be eligible to upgrade your 200- or 500-hour designation to include that of a Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher (RCYT).
